The Virtual Boy is a video game system created by nintendo in 1995.It’s intention was supposed to be a 3d virtual reality system. It also designed to be a portable device much like the nintendo gameboy. The Virtual Boy can be said to be a below average system in my opinion. The processing abilities are not too bad. It has a 32 bit proccesser, and a 16 bit stereo. The graphics capabilty seems to be close to that of a

super nintendo. The controller isn’t too bad though. It contains 2 black control sticks on each end of the controller in an attempt to make 3d gameplay easier. It has 2 red a and b buttons on the left and a start and a select button on the right. It also has 2 l and r shoulder buttons which are comfortably placed. However, the rest of the aspects of the system is not so great.

It does not have color. The only colors ...

      • it does have is red and black which is a letdown considering it was the year 1995 and such graphics were obsolete even back then.It is also a pretty clumsy system..Despite being a so called portable system,it is rather bulky and requires a flimsy looking stand to support it.It also requires that you stick your entire face into it.You are blocked from seeing anything except the game screen which means that you really can only
play it in your home.It is also a rather power hungry system requiring 6 double a batteries to power it.

On top of that, playing it over an extended period of time could cause headaches. Games can be fun on it.A favorite of mine is Mario tennis. However, few games actually utilize the full power of 3d virtual reality. Most games usually implement average amounts of virtual reality. The ones that I feel use 3d the most is telerboxer,a boxing game and Mario tennis.
