  • After all, spooky spirits are heavily associated with Halloween, so those attending the party will likely be impressed with the ghost-shaped pastries
  • It can be difficult to avoid covering up the eyes and the smile that show up on the cakes due to the indentations that are in the slots in the baking pan, so I just end up making my own eyes and smile with a toothpick

The Wilton Mini Ghost Pan is an aluminum Halloween-themed baking pan. Although sold separately, it’s part of a line of Halloween-themed baking pans that are all made by the Wilton company. The baking pan has six slots which can be filled with cake batter, brownie batter or even gelatin. The six slots are all in the shape of a ghost, so whatever is made while using this baking sheet will result in cakes, brownies, gelatin or whatever having the shape of a ghost as well as some features, like two eyes and a smile, when the pastry is flipped over. The slots measure four by four and seven-eighths and one and three-eighths deep. Although there are only six slots, the slots are larger than an average baking pan’s slots, so the treats come out larger. The baking pan functions like any

other baking pan and thus bakes treats evenly and well. It would’ve been nice if this baking pan made ghosts in different shapes rather than identical ghosts, but it’s still nice to have a baking pan that produces ghost-shaped treats. This baking pan makes it easy to come up with Halloween-themed treats as it does all the work in shaping the treats to resemble ghosts and giving the ghosts eyes and a mouth. All I have to do is prepare the batter, pour it in the ghost-shaped slots, put the baking pan in the oven, and let the treats cook.

      • weeks and days leading up to Halloween and having one helps to put me more in the Halloween spirit. It can be fun decorating the ghost cakes that I make with this pan. White icing is naturally a good fit for a cake that’s shaped like a ghost, but if I cover the ghost cake completely with white icing, I always make sure that I take a toothpick and make a pair of eyes and a smile on the cake. It can be difficult to avoid covering up the eyes and the smile that show up on the cakes due to the indentations that are in the slots in the baking pan, so I just end up making my own eyes and smile with a toothpick. It’s enjoyable coming up with ideas on how to decorate these ghosts. Sometimes, I’ll add
some coconut, other times, I’ll place some sprinkles or little candies on the cakes or brownies. When it comes to using this pan to make a Halloween-themed goodies, I just seem to feel more creative and eager to experiment with decorating the cakes or brownies. Since the baking pan is made out of aluminum, it’s easy to clean and durable, too.

If in search of an easy way to come up with a Halloween-themed treat, then this cooking pan might be a good choice. The spooky spirits that it concocts with cake or brownie batter or gelatin are very appropriate for Halloween. The treats that this baking pan makes aren’t small and bake just as well in this baking pan as in regular aluminum baking pans. For fifteen dollars, this baking pan is reasonably priced and I feel a “10″ rating is quite appropriate.
