I had been looking for a long time for a counter top grill which I could use to make single serving size meals for myself. For example, grilling one burger patty or a single chicken breast. After much research I settled on the George Foreman Champ Grill with Bun Warmer because the size looked just right and it had this interesting design - the bottom grill plate is sloped down. This lets extra fat from the foods you are grilling drain off the bottom grill plate into a small plastic dripping tray (which comes with the appliance) for easy clean-up and a less fattening end product. The George Foreman Champ Grill with Bun Warmer also came with

a straight plastic spatula but I do not use it often and prefer using tongs to turn my various food items.

This George Foreman Grill has a bun warmer feature at the top of the appliance, in which you can place your bread to heat up while you are grilling your burger patties or hot dogs. It is a nice feature, if you like your bread warmed through and soft but not toasted. The George Foreman Champ Grill with Bun Warmer also came with a helpful guide that suggests cooking times for various types of meats and sizes of these meats as well. This includes, chicken and seafood.

One of the best “surprises” I got from this George ...

      • Foreman Champ Grill was the awesome grilled cheese sandwiches and panini melts sandwiches it can used to make. While assembling my grilled cheese I let the unit heat up and there is no need to butter the outside of the bread for it to get toasted and crunchy. It also makes some of the easiest and best caramelized onions ever. In 10-15 minutes I get wonderful caramelized onions. I have even grilled pizza dough on this appliance.

One of the drawbacks of the George Foreman Champ Grill with Bun Warmer is the non-removable plates. The bottom grill plate is extremely easy to clean and wash but the upper grill plate can be a challenge. It is recommended you

clean it with a slightly soapy dishcloth dipped in warm water. I personally like to rub a bit of baking soda on the grill surfaces too, to get off any extra grime and scents which may want to remain on the surface.

I have had my George Foreman Champ Grill with Bun Warmer for over 2 years now and I got to say, except for the non-removable plates, I am very pleased with this product. It takes up such little counter space. I use it very often, it makes great sandwiches and I will definitely recommend this product to anyone who was looking for the same type of product I was - a grill to cook for one.
