I’ve tried a few different kinds of the muscle pain relief creams and stuff. Usually I’ll buy one, use it for a couple days while a sore muscle recuperates, and then I’ll end up having to toss it, because it seems like it goes bad or loses its effectiveness and doesn’t work as well after it’s been opened and unused for six months. They usually aren’t that expensive, so I don’t mind investing in a brand new one every few months and at least that way I’m getting to try other products that I might have to wait two years to try out, if I just stuck with one bottle of cream or spray.

I needed a good muscle pain product because I had totally twisted my shoulder out of place and the patches where

an absolute nightmare for me to keep in place in that spot, though I liked how it worked real well and kept the area nice and relaxed for a good six or seven hours, assuming I could keep the patch attached to my skin for that length of time. I knew a cream or spray product wouldn’t work for nearly that length of time, but I had to try something, and thought I’d go with the Max-Freeze Maximum Muscle and Joint Pain Relief.

It was a roll-on which is why I wanted to try it out. The creams can be very messy, which I don’t mind all that much, but since the pain was in an area I couldn’t reach by myself, I’d be relying on my poor daughter to apply it to my shoulder,

      • and I didn’t want her to have to deal with getting her hands messy, even though she’d probably think it was totally fun.

The product is made from aloe and arnica and vitamin E so it’s excellent for the skin and nice and soothing for the tissue, but it’s the tea tree oil that made it a great product. I know this says it’s for muscle pain, but I’ll tell you something I discovered about this product: it’s also really great for sunburns as well! I’m not kidding. It’s a fantastic product for sunburns. I was using it on my shoulder for a few days straight, and during that time I had managed to get a bit of a burn on my neck and shoulders and back, from wearing a wide neck shirt out in

the sun all day and not putting any block on, and this was very soothing on my skin.

I have to admit I don’t think it worked all that well on actually alleviating some of my pain. It worked a bit, but the results were just too subtle for me. I needed immediate and long lasting relief. Maybe for minor arthritis pain in the hands or elbows where you are able to get to it yourself and really rub it in and use it often throughout the day it might be a little better and more results will show themselves, but for me it was really only good as an aftersun product which ironically has absolutely nothing to do with what this product is actually made for. Not great for muscle pain, but fantastic for burns!
