I guess the best way to describe this book would be “murder mystery chick lit. ” Yes, that’s right.

While murder mystery is supposed to be suspenseful and chick lit is supposed to be funny, this novel nicely combines both.

      Even some

gory episodes are made fun to read, and that’s a trick, if you ask me.

      We meet Gabby St.

Claire, a forensic scientist wannabe who runs a small business of crime scene clean-up, as she works at the home of a ...

      • senator whose wife has been murdered.

Gabby discovers a gun that appears to be the missing murder weapon.

The police detective does not want to listen to her theories, so Gabby begins investigating the crime herself, which soon puts her life

        in danger.

The novel is captivating from the start, and its characters are easy to sympathize with (or hate, like Gabby’s lazy bum of a father).

The murder, the mystery, two potential romantic interests for the heroine plus delightful humor - what more could one want?
