I have prescription glasses but when my boyfriend started having a hard time seeing, the eye doctor told him he didn’t need to get a prescription, that his eyes just weren’t bad enough yet. She suggested that we get him a pair of reading glasses from the store that were not prescription strength. He and I went to the drug store and found a set of three reading glasses that would work. They cost $7.86 for the three pack and it was a very good investment.

The only thing that he needed glasses for was to see while he was reading. He doesn’t really get into reading too many books, but his job and some of the hobbies that he has outside of work require quite a bit of

reading of very small print. When he got these glasses, it made all the difference in the world. He was easily able to see things that he had to squint to read prior to that occasion. He would put the glasses on and read what needed to be read and then take them off to see if he could still see it. He could not and so the glasses helped a great deal in his ability to see what he needed to see. These particular glasses were lightweight as well so it didn’t seem to be too different for him from not wearing glasses at all. It always takes time to get used to wearing glasses when you have never worn them before. Though this was still a little ...

      • difficult for him to get used to, it would have been nothing like trying to get used to heavier pairs of glasses.

I would recommend that you use these glasses if you have been told by the eye doctor that your eyes aren’t bad enough for prescription strength glasses. Even though you may be able to see well enough for some things, other things can get more difficult to read as you age. That makes these glasses the exact thing you need to get through those difficult reading times. They will help you read what you need to know and you don’t have to pay a huge amount of money that prescription glasses would have cost. I know that my boyfriend will not go anywhere without his new glasses. He

put one pair at work, one in his car and one on his desk at home. If he loses a pair, he still has a backup pair to use. We both agree that we would make this purchase again. It was well worth it that he could see so much better when he read small print that would just run together otherwise. It was a great bargain at that price for three pairs of glasses that did exactly what he needed them to do. He has not had any problems seeing the print since he has been wearing these glasses and it’s nice to not have to read the menu to him when he couldn’t see what the fine print said or when it was a bit darker in the restaurant.
