  • Michelina's Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Snackers certainly had the potential to a quality breakfast food, but unfortunately the Snackers, as they're called, suffer from poorly flavored and mushy sausage that just isn't appetizing
  • I've had Michelina's Gravy and Sausage Breakfast Snackers in the past, and with that breakfast product too, I noticed the sausage wasn't very good
  • I thought though that perhaps it was the gravy that was making the sausage soggy and soft, so I thought that since this breakfast product didn't have gravy inside the biscuits, that I might enjoy the sausage more
  • Too bad that wasn't the case because I like the idea behind these Snackers

Michelina’s Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Snackers certainly had the potential to a quality breakfast food, but unfortunately the Snackers, as they’re called, suffer from poorly flavored and mushy sausage that just isn’t appetizing. I’ve had Michelina’s Gravy and Sausage Breakfast Snackers in the past, and with that breakfast product too, I noticed the sausage wasn’t very good. I thought though that perhaps it was the gravy that was making the sausage soggy and soft, so I thought that since this breakfast product didn’t have gravy inside the biscuits, that I might enjoy the sausage more. Too bad that wasn’t the case because I

like the idea behind these Snackers.

Let me start off by mentioning what I liked about these Snackers, which would include everything but the sausage portion of it. The golden brown biscuit is pleasantly soft and has a good fresh flavor to it. The scrambled eggs taste real and not at all chalky or slimy, but as good as scrambled eggs made off the stove. They aren’t particularly oily either. The melted cheddar cheese went very well with the scrambled eggs and was tasty. I do feel though that more cheddar cheese could have been added to the interiors of these biscuits as the ...

      • amount of cheddar cheese seemed to be low. Then comes the sausage, which for me, just about ruins all that’s good about these Snackers. The sausage didn’t taste as if it had been cooked thoroughly enough and that resulted in an unpleasant flavor. The sausage also seemed really soft and mushy, which is not the way sausage should be. Since around half of each Snacker consists of sausage, it’s pretty much impossible for me to enjoy these Snackers. I dislike the quality and flavor of the sausage, and it can’t be missed when biting into one of these Snackers, so this breakfast product as
a result doesn’t have a spot in my freezer.

If the sausage would have been crispier and tastier and cooked better, I would have been delighted with these tasty little breakfast Snackers. Of course, I also would have liked the breakfast Snackers more if additional cheddar cheese had been added, but this is all irrelevant because the product in its current state is unsatisfactory for me. I really did like the idea of tossing in some common breakfast foods and wrapping them up in warm, soft biscuits, but the quality of the sausage just ruins it for me. That’s why I’m rating these breakfast Snackers a “4″ rating.
