  • I really enjoyed the casing of this model, the battery cover has some interesting texture clothing that feels really good
  • It is one of the best looking Curves that I have seen in a while, because it doesn’t look like a piece of plastic and cheap as some of the Curves that you have seen
  • We have the usual BlackBerry web browser, unfortunately this is not the great new browser that you may have seen on the higher end models

I tested the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330. It is the latest Curve model from Black-Berry. I really enjoyed the casing of this model, the battery cover has some interesting texture clothing that feels really good. The casing is rubberized, typical of the Curve family mobile phones.

On one side of the phone we have the useful USB port, and 3. 5 stereo jack. On the upper side of the phone we have the multimedia buttons (play, pause, ffwd).

On the other side of the phone there are located the volume controls. I want to say that this new Curve model is not a giant step forward

compared to the previous Curve but it will be upgradable to BlackBerry OS 6 and that is the most important feature about the phone. But it is a very solidly built BlackBerry Curve, but this is the lower end model.

It is one of the best looking Curves that I have seen in a while, because it doesn’t look like a piece of plastic and cheap as some of the Curves that you have seen. The chrome surround really helps giving it a nice look and that texture back that I have mentioned earlier. Of course there is the usual QWERTY keyboard that is the ...

      • best keyboards on the market as always.

This new Curve has a QVGA display which is not going to excite anybody, but it is decent as long as you haven’t got something extremely small that you have to read. We have the usual BlackBerry web browser, unfortunately this is not the great new browser that you may have seen on the higher end models. We have the usual navigator, a very nice multimedia player for music and videos.

We also have voice command. The phone has 512 MB of Ram and 512 MB of flash storage as well as a 624 MHz central processor unit

so it is a reasonably powerful phone. The TV feature on this smartphone plays very smoothly having great frame rates, nice colors, it maybe a low resolution display compared to other smartphones one the market but is sharp, bright and clear.

Now lets take a look at the web browser. Web pages look pretty good, the data download speeds seem to be about average and sometimes is less than average, depending on the reception you get. Zooming work pretty good.

The navigator is a paid for service, and it gets the job done. Overall this is a pretty good phone but doesn’t stand out of the crowd.
