Very Sexy For Him is another impressive citrus aromatic scent that I have encountered and it is surprising that it is from Victoria’s Secret. This brand is not known for male scent albeit this particular scent is truly outstanding. The perfume is simple outside, with a transparent black flacon and a white square top, the appearance is mysterious, it is as if a dormant piece of nature waiting to explode. While seeing it, I was really thinking how it smells and what are the characteristics why this is sexy. The appearance illustrates simplicity and calmness which are very good characteristics of male perfumes.

There is a distinct citrus smell to the opening because of bergamot leaf. Other top notes are lime and mandarin orange and bergamot leaf. It smells

like earl grey tea. There are hints of lemon grass when you smell the scent. Lime also made the smell lemony and increasingly sumptuous by the minute you smell it. The opening was light but not the typical citrus scent. I would say bergamot leaf made it green but bordering on that citrus flavor still. The intensity of lime here was not so obvious. The segue had interesting notes but the character had traces of femininity.

There was cinnamon and sage. The latter had this aromatic smell. It gave the segue a stinky smell but this was not so obvious perhaps only in the background. Sage is used for food flavor and I am familiar with this plant. When the smell is extracted like in this perfume, the effect is different. There ...

      • is that feeling of smelling like light tobacco. But let me reiterate it that there was no effect at all in the entire smell. I would say that lime made the heart more citrusy. It was one of the middle notes so there was a good effect on the smell. Then for the dry down, orange blossoms and vetiver. The dry down gave the scent more citrus aroma but a little woody at the same time. Orange blossoms have this citrus floral smell. Then vetiver is a humid smell. It is somewhat woody but sour at the same time. The overall smell is citrus but the aromatic aspect is what impressed me.

At first, I thought that sage delivered a disappointment, the overall effect was incredible. Likewise, vetiver being a

humid scent gave color and beauty to the aromatic sense of the entire perfume. Citrus aromatic scents are not just plain orange or lime in the front but there are nuances which continues to marvel me and Victoria Secret’s Very Sexy For Him is one masterpiece. The sourness and herb-like smell brought by sage and vetiver are the winning additives to the perfume. When you smell it, the feeling makes it masculine but the front remains citrus. This is what makes it sexy and different. I have never encountered a citrus aromatic scent before wherein there is a heavy background yet it still remains beautiful to smell. It does not feel too feminine given that citrus is already light and easily evaporates. This is unique and manly at the same time.
