  • Starting with the most interesting specification of this TV and that it is a 3D one
  • One of the things that impressed me was that this TV converts the standard TV signal into 3D so you can get a lot more use out of the 3D content on the TV
  • The Panasonic TXP42GT20B can also be used for communication, because it can be used for Skype to Skype phone calls, and that means that you can connect the TV to the internet through the ethernet port that is placed in the back of the TV, but I would recommend to connect it through a wireless connection because lets face it, no one likes messy cables around their room

This is the review of Panasonic TXP42GT20B 3D plasma TV. The model that we are looking here today is the 42 inch version but should be available in 46 and 50 inch versions. Starting with the most interesting specification of this TV and that it is a 3D one.

One of the things that impressed me was that this TV converts the standard TV signal into 3D so you can get a lot more use out of the 3D content on the TV. If you are going through the menu, press the menu button, scroll down to setup, press

OK on the remote and you got the option to view in 3D if you are playing a 3D DVD or you are watching 3D programs from some sort of satellite broadcast but you can go down to the signal form and change your standard 2D picture to 3D as well.

At the moment this Panasonic model comes with two pairs of glasses but that may change in the future. You have to activate the glasses so you can see the image in 3D.

Of course that this model is a full HD one, no surprises there. I also ...

      • liked that it has a very fast scanning ratio, 600 Hz.

The contrast is decent as well 500:1 so you get a really good black level great depth and very natural color tones and good details in dark areas of the screen as well. Another interesting thing that I liked is that you get free view of a few TV programs (eg.

BBC), that transmit in HD. The Panasonic TXP42GT20B can also be used for communication, because it can be used for Skype to Skype phone calls, and that means that you can connect the TV to the internet

through the ethernet port that is placed in the back of the TV, but I would recommend to connect it through a wireless connection because lets face it, no one likes messy cables around their room.

We have got various websites that can be accessed. like: YouTube, Movies on Demand, Daily Motion, etc.

Very good menus on the Panasonic models, very straight forward, you have: picture, sound and setup. Of course that we have some preset modes by the manufacturer, so you won’t have to do all the settings by yourself, but you can also customize the settings as you wish.
