Medium: Means and Ends was not a favorite outing for this series. It seems to me that this year has been very hit and miss. The show was barely renewed for this season, and I fear this could very well be the last if things don’t pick up.

My main complaint, which in truth has been a complaint from the beginning of the program, is that I just hate Alison’s single minded attitude.

The thing is that we know her dreams aren’t always accurate, so when she fixates on them, it bugs me. You would think after a lifetime of these dreams that she would know that sometimes they aren’t always the truth and that oftentimes they are actually guides that point her in a direction rather than telling her the exact story. Usually, it takes multiple dreams to get to the truth.

      Why doesn’t she ...

      • know that and consider that fact? Instead, in this hour, she again reacts with righteous indignation that anyone question or call her on it, which is what her husband Joe does to an extent.

This is because good friend and colleague Lee Scanlon is accused of all kinds of bad doing. Her lack of support not only backs her ignorance as to how her dreams operate, but also shows her fair weather nature with

her friendship with Lee. After all, her dreams have even been manipulated, many times over. From the ’scenes from next week’, that’s exactly what has happened here.

What I did like was watching Ariel’s dreams and contact with the other side, which was also intriguing. I wonder how she is going to deal with this stuff while she’s at college. Maybe they can just do shows that occur when she’s home from college.
