Canyon casino was lively place at Black Hawk. The slot machines made it a large casino and there were hundreds of machines to choose from. There were great thematic slot collections; some linked with acts of famous historical characters. This casino is spread vast across the corner and had multiple floors fully dedicated to gaming.

Most of the players were local gamblers. Parking was absolutely free here; that too the valet parking. So it was comfortable experience.

The main entrance is very adjacent to the street and added to convenient roaming to the strip. Also Canyon connection has a fully functional link with the

plateau casino which was of course a wonderful thing, especially when this hall was completely occupied. New additions they made to the casino were available, but they were only a small percentage considering their entire slot collection.

Most of the machines were nickel machines. High stakes slots were also available but not at damn expensive limits. There five dollar slots and the seats were extra comfy ones there.

The service requests were attended promptly. The table games section was only average at Canyon casino. The number of blackjack tables would only count up to three.

Doubling and splitting rules were the usual stuff, nothing ...

      • special. There was no double deck game going on there. The ambience at the tables was also nothing spectacular but the drinks were free and they were good too.

The attitude of the dealers was also helpful and they made the games lively with their tips and one dealer displayed some stylish dealing action to. There was a grill restaurant inside the casino named Canyon grill. Their chicken fingers were unique in its taste and with the dip it was a mouth watering dish.

I also tried their Canyon burger which was also good one. The onion rings was nothing special but the pricing

was competitive and came only up to fast food counter rates. The staff was friendly and fast.

Ingredients were super fresh too. I also liked the thing that they have a fully equipped Starbucks inside to get some hot coffee for the game. I was a bit surprised to see that there was no poker room in Canyon casino.

This is one of the few casinos that do not offer poker in Black Hawk. With the exception of blackjack, table games section of Canyon casino lacks variety to a big extent. There were enough of video poker machines but they never substitute my appetite for live Texas hold ‘em play.
