  • The Excedrin product is definitely a great one, but the value and price of the Walmart brand Equate product more than makes up for the Equate product taking longer to activate, and so that's why I choose the Equate product over the Excedrin product

Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets is a pain reliever that I used to use to sooth bothersome and unpleasant headaches. I would use this pain medication because it would deliver relief relatively swiftly and once the pain reliever kicked in, the discomfort and ache would be gone, allowing me to take a nap or engage in some other restful activity that would generally take care of the headache so that when the pain reliever wore off, my headache would be gone. This pain reliever though is designed to mask other aches and pains aside from headaches, such as toothaches and muscle pains, but I would mainly use it for headaches because it seemed to work best for me when I took the caplets for a headache. That’s not to say that this pain reliever was ineffective in taking care of other sources of pain, because the caplets did work, but I would take Tylenol Extra Strength Pain Reliever & Fever Reducer instead because

I could get the Tylenol brand for less money than the Excedrin brand, and both seemed to work about as quickly and last as long, so I would save the Excedrin caplets for headaches and use the Tylenol tablets for other aches and pains bothering my body. Excedrin worked better for me in concealing headache pain, but it was always more expensive than Tylenol, so I would save the Excedrin for when one of those annoying headaches would crop up.

Nowadays though, I’ve moved on to using Equate Extra Strength Headache Relief Tablets instead of Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets, just like I’ve moved on to the Equate Extra Strength Pain Reliever after using Tylenol Extra Strength Pain Reliever & Fever Reducer. The reason is simple: the amount of money I save by using the Equate tablets surpasses the amount of money I would save by using the Tylenol tablets instead of the Excedrin caplets and the Equate tablets work almost as well as ...

      • the Excedrin caplets. Now the Excedrin caplets do dull the pain caused by the headache faster than the Equate tablets by several minutes, so they are faster-acting, but once the Equate tablets do begin working, the relief is just as noticeable. The Equate tablets ease the pain of a headache just as effectively as the Excedrin caplets. It’s not that big of a deal that I find myself having to wait an extra seven or ten or so minutes for the relief to become a reality, and I end up saving several dollars every time I go with the Equate brand over the Excedrin brand, so I just put up with the discomfort for a little longer. The Equate brand also treats other sources of pain and discomfort, just like the Excedrin brand, but I usually take the Equate Extra Strength Pain Reliever instead for back and body pains as those seem to work better for pain that isn’t centered or located
        around the head region.

Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets work very well in relieving the pain that comes from headaches. I can save a couple of dollars though and instead go with the Equate Extra Strength Headache Relief and still get a pain reliever that effectively masks the pain, only it takes longer for the tablets to start working. I will still purchase the Excedrin brand if the Equate product is all sold out because of how fast and effective it works to relieve headaches and considering how easy to take the caplets are. The Excedrin product is definitely a great one, but the value and price of the Walmart brand Equate product more than makes up for the Equate product taking longer to activate, and so that’s why I choose the Equate product over the Excedrin product. I still feel though that the Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets are very effective, easy to take and work very quickly, so I’m still going to rate this product a “10″.
