  • I thought a spray makeup would be fantastic because it seemed like it would be so much easier and less messy to use than liquid foundations or powder foundations
  • I have very light skin, so light seemed the best porcelain match for me
  • I think it's because it has the olive oil extract in it, and that just made it so heavy and this foundation moved around on my face way too much and I constantly felt the need to touch it up whenever I could
  • You can spray it onto a sponge and apply it that way, and I don't know what kind of difference you're supposed to experience applying it one way over the other, because I tried it both ways and didn't notice any difference in coverage or look

Those late night commercials for airbrush makeup finally convinced me to try to find some to try it out for myself. I thought a spray makeup would be fantastic because it seemed like it would be so much easier and less messy to use than liquid foundations or powder foundations. Sally Hansen puts out an airbrush makeup and that’s what I ended up getting. It was called the Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Airbrush Spray Makeup and it was the light shade. You didn’t have many options to chose from with light, medium, and dark, and that was it. You better hope one of those will work for you. I have very light skin, so light seemed the best porcelain match for me.

      It

has olive oil and chamomile and vitamins in it and it promised to be good for all types of skin. Mine is oily and I can tell you right now that this is so not good for oily skin at all. I think it’s because it has the olive oil extract in it, and that just made it so heavy and this foundation moved around on my face way too much and I constantly felt the need to touch it up whenever I could. Everything else would be perfect and healthy for my skin, and it even had a scent to it that I really liked, but I couldn’t get over how greasy it ended up making my skin look.

It wasn’t very easy to use either. I thought you would spray it on your face directly but you have to spray it into the palm of your hand and then use the fingertips of your other hand, touch it to what you sprayed and then spread that over your face. You can spray it onto a sponge and apply it that way, and I don’t know what kind of difference you’re supposed to experience applying it one way over the other, because I tried it both ways and didn’t notice any difference in coverage or look. You can also use a cotton swab to do a spot concealer, but again that didn’t seem to make much more of a difference then the first way I ...

described. I used a sponge whenever I used it because it was less mess, but if you aren’t careful with the spray it gets all over the place on either side of the sponge.

It is a lightweight makeup despite the fact that I felt it made my skin look greasy. It might have looked greasy and shiney but it didn’t feel like I hadn’t washed my face in the last three weeks. But I still didn’t like the overall results that I got when I used this makeup. I’ve since tried many different airbrush foundations and this one was easily the worst out of all of them.

It didn’t provide me very much coverage at all. The color might have been okay

for me, but that’s about where the positives of this stopped because beyond finding a decent color, it didn’t even skin tone and it didn’t hide circles, and I didn’t feel like I had a matte airbrushed finish to my skin. I looked shiney and the entire application process was just a bit more than I wanted to deal with. Why would I spray it in my hand if I could spray it on a sponge? It was just stupid to even offer another alternative for application. Plus your hands have all kinds of bacteria and you shouldn’t put your makeup on anything but a sponge anyway before applying it to your face. Didn’t like these results and I wont use this one again.
