  • I really didn't like the Sally Hansen one that I tried and it gave me horrible results so I was hoping for something a little more productive and cost worthy with this product
  • I wasn't sure what to think about mineral makeup because I'd never tried it before I tried this one, and an airbrush makeup was a strange place to start as well, but I think I really did like the feeling of this makeup
  • I bought the ivory color because that describes my skin tone pretty accurately, even though during the summer I can get a little bit of color and need to change out the tone of my makeup to get the best looking coverage possible
  • You just zip it one way across the face with one spray and zip it the other way with the next spray and you try to avoid spraying it heavily in one single spot
  • It took some time to get the hang of it, but I looked at it like spraying a can of spray paint, and when I thought of it that way it was much easier to apply

This Aero Minerale Foundation Hydrating Makeup Mist was the second kind of spray on foundation that I had tried. I really didn’t like the Sally Hansen one that I tried and it gave me horrible results so I was hoping for something a little more productive and cost worthy with this product. It was a little more than $15 which isn’t awful expensive in regards to a good foundation, but wether or not this would be a good foundation was still up in the air.

It’s a mineral makeup which means it has more natural ingredients in it. I wasn’t sure what to think about mineral makeup because I’d never tried it before I tried this one, and an airbrush makeup was a strange place to start as well, but I think I really did like the feeling of this makeup.

It’s completely oil free so I didn’t feel like I was spraying on olive oil to my face like I did with the Sally Hansen spray. It went on really exactly like you’d expect a mist to go on.

I bought the ivory color because that describes my skin tone pretty accurately, even though during the summer I can get a little bit of color and need to change out the tone of my makeup to get the best looking coverage possible. At the time though this was a good match for me and it blended in perfectly and you couldn’t tell I’d applied any makeup because there was never any color differentials to deal with.

You shake up the bottle really well before each use. If it sprays too watery or too thick then you didn’t shake it up enough.

      • The first time I used this it came out watery and then thick one right after the other and so I wasted a bit of it before I got it right. The next time I used it I knew to shake it vigorously for a good while before trying to spray it. When it’s shaken well it will come out creamy.

You hold it about ten inches from your face and close your eyes and you just kind of mist yourself with it by spraying evenly as possible. You just zip it one way across the face with one spray and zip it the other way with the next spray and you try to avoid spraying it heavily in one single spot. It took some time to get the hang of it, but I looked at it like spraying a can

of spray paint, and when I thought of it that way it was much easier to apply.

Once it’s applied you can use a sponge to even it out, but if you do a really good job of spraying, you might not even have to. I just used a sponge to work it into the crevices like around my nose to make sure it got the uneven and red skin tone in those areas. And this spray foundation worked much better than the disappointing Sally Hansen airbrush foundation that I used. It felt very light on my skin and it didn’t make me look oily and it seemed to stay in place well for a good portion of the day, even when I was sweating. It didn’t provide as much coverage as I liked, but I did like how smooth and natural it looked.
