  • Unlike the iPod, it does not have a convenient navagation system
  • I wouldn't recommend this mp3 player to jog with, as it skips when jolted and is generally bulky, but if you are looking for a cheap mp3 player to put a large library on, this is a good choice

The Nomad Jukebox is a good alternative to an iPod if you are looking to save money and don’t particularly care about the size. Nicknamed by some the “iBrick”, the Nomad Jukebox is a rather chunky mp3 player, available in 30, 40, and 60

      gigs, available for about $200.

It supports both mp3 and wma format, allowing you to put tracks ripped in windows media player format.

Rather than having a wheel, it has a ...

      • little slider to scroll with, which makes it a bit of a task to cue up a song if you have a lot on it.

It uses an ordinary laptop hard drive, meaning that if it breaks it is easly (and inexpensively) replacable.

Oh, and for the record, the headphones it comes with are terrible.
