  • The El Monterey Beef & Bean Red Chili Burritos suffer from the same problem that plagues the El Monterey Beef & Bean Green Chili Burritos
  • The burritos are still very good though and that is thanks to the seasoned beef which is both appetizing to the smell and quite delicious to the taste and the ground up beans as well which offer a slightly different texture than the ground beef and offer a unique flavor of their own
  • The burritos did disappoint me because I was expecting more red chili flavoring, but I still enjoyed the burritos because of the tasty ground beef and ground up beans and what little red chili flavoring there was

The El Monterey Beef & Bean Red Chili Burritos suffer from the same problem that plagues the El Monterey Beef & Bean Green Chili Burritos. Just as the latter lacks a sufficient number of green chili pieces to set the burritos apart from the El Monterey Beef & Bean Burritos in terms of flavor, the former too is lacking in red chili flavor that would otherwise give these burritos a spicy flair of flavor if they were present in significant quantity.

The burritos seem to consist of mostly seasoned beef and ground up beans, which are both tasty for sure, but I was hoping

for these burritos to be spicy, which they aren’t, for the most part.

There is some red chili flavoring here and there and it does enhance the flavor of the burritos as well as give them some hotness that the other packaged burritos from El Monterey don’t have, but the added flavor and hotness doesn’t come often enough when I bite into one of these burritos because there just isn’t enough red chili flavoring mixed in with the ground beef and ground up beans.

The burritos are still very good though and that is thanks to the seasoned beef which is both appetizing to the ...

The tortilla shell is good too, although it can be a tad tough compared to the tortilla shells that are used in fast foods like Taco Bueno or Taco Bell.

Still, I didn’t have any trouble chewing these burritos or biting into them.

Eight come in a package for just under three dollars, which is still a good deal even though the flavor is not as intense or the burritos as hot

due to the red chili ingredient being in limited quantity.

The burritos are pretty full though, which is a plus because when served with some side dishes, one burrito becomes enough to satisfy me and fill me up.

The burritos did disappoint me because I was expecting more red chili flavoring, but I still enjoyed the burritos because of the tasty ground beef and ground up beans and what little red chili flavoring there was.

I feel these burritos are deserving of a “7″ rating.

If the red chili flavor had been more prominent and say three times stronger, I would have easily given these burritos a “10″ rating.
