  • I bought a spray by Downy which worked okay but made the clothes feel wet for a while afterwards, and then I bought some dryer sheets that were pretty much just glorified fabric softeners and that didn't do much of anything that differentiated it as a real wrinkle reducer, and then I wanted to try one of those products that uses steam to get the wrinkles out, and not using the steam of the dryer like the sheets I purchased before
  • I like to go on vacations whenever possible, even if it's just a weekend camping excursion, but sometimes I still need to bring clothes along that look nice and the only way to do that is if I have something like this
  • When I bought this Travel Smart by Conair Garment Steamer, the picture on the box made it seem like it was battery operated, but unfortunately it had a cord and that really irritated me

So I’ve had some hit and misses with wrinkle reducers in the past. I bought a spray by Downy which worked okay but made the clothes feel wet for a while afterwards, and then I bought some dryer sheets that were pretty much just glorified fabric softeners and that didn’t do much of anything that differentiated it as a real wrinkle reducer, and then I wanted to try one of those products that uses steam to get the wrinkles out, and not using the steam of the dryer like the sheets I purchased before. I also didn’t want something that would have to plug in or be bulky and awkward to travel with when I needed to take it places with me. I like to go on vacations whenever possible, even if it’s just a weekend camping excursion, but sometimes I still need to bring clothes along that look

nice and the only way to do that is if I have something like this.

When I bought this Travel Smart by Conair Garment Steamer, the picture on the box made it seem like it was battery operated, but unfortunately it had a cord and that really irritated me. But, it was still small enough to travel with. It really was a small hand held sized product that would easily pack in luggage and not take up much room. And it came with a storage pouch as well, so it’s not like you had an unmanageable cord to deal with. But I was still pretty mad that it had a cord since what I was ultimately looking for was something I didn’t have to plug in in case plugs weren’t really readily available, as if when I’m camping but need to freshen up a nice outfit to hit the ...

      • nearest town and go out for dinner or something.

This Travel Smart garment steamer comes with different detachable brushes. It has a bristle brush and a lint brush. I really liked the lint brush on this, because it gets off any little hairs or bits that may have gotten on your clothes either in transit or at whatever location. I’ve spent weekends at friend’s houses who have cats and dogs that shed incredibly, and this lint brush has made a huge impact on me in these situations.

The design is really nice because it has a good handle with a nice sized grip and it doesn’t slip around in the hand at all. You can steam your garments pretty much in any angle. I can practically hold this thing upside down and get a good steam outo fit. You get ten minutes worth of steam time once its filled,

plugged in and ready to go and it’s like using an iron without actually having to use an iron. Plus, you get way more steam out of this than you would with the steam setting on an iron anyway.

I just hang the article of clothing and end up running this garment steamer over it, and it takes less than two minutes per garment, so I can do my entire suitcase of clothing if I needed to. The clothes are just slightly damp afterwards, but it dried almost as fast as it took to cool down. By the time I was finished with the second article of clothing, the first piece was already dry and ready to wear which was actually better than the wrinkle reducing spray that I’ve tried in the past. Even though this wasn’t totally what I wanted or was expecting, it was still an excellent product.
