I bought the Logitech Ultraflat keyboard along with my new computer system quite a while ago now. At the time I did not put much thought into choosing it, thinking that the keyboard I used wouldn’t matter too much. I ended up picking the Ultraflat keyboard because I trusted the brand, it was cheap and I liked the look of it. After using it for several months I found that it had not been the right decision for me,

however that’s not to say it isn’t a good keyboard in its own right.

The first thing you’ll notice about this keyboard is that it’s very sleek and compact. Therefore, if you don’t have much space on your desk to set up a keyboard this could be very useful to you. Personally, I had plenty of space so gained no real benefit from this. Achieving this compact design comes at the cost of having standard spacing between the keys. I ...

      • found the tight placing of the keys rather annoying and frequently pressed the wrong keys before I got used to it.

As you would expect the keyboard is also very light, weighing only around 900 g. This is great for carrying it round, if you have a use to carry a keyboard round. The keys are also much flatter than your standard rubber dome keys. Only very light keystrokes are required and typing on it is similar to typing on

        a laptop.

Overall I think this keyboard is great if it suits your needs. If you are looking for something small and compact with no extra media buttons, backlighting or macros then this keyboard could be worth your money. It has a nice design, is good to type on once you get used to the key placement and is well made. I think a fair rating for it is around 8/10, even though it wasn’t that great for me personally.
