  • I love it when my house smells nice and clean, especially when company is coming and I can impress them with my prowess in regards to air fresheners
  • It's not expensive, but it's not cheap enough to use it so quickly, especially when you consider how many loads of laundry through which they typical house goes
  • I like the idea of spraying it on my clothes right before I iron though, instead of spraying down with water
  • I can't wear perfume for the most part because it reacts poorly with my sinuses, and so I'm usually stuck using some sort of naturally fragrant item, and even then I'm not always in the best of places, where my sinuses are concerned
  • I've only tried it once in my laundry rinse cycle, and it made a huge difference, but unfortunately can't afford to do this every single time I wash a load, otherwise I would be going through a bottle every five days

I love it when my house smells nice and clean, especially when company is coming and I can impress them with my prowess in regards to air fresheners. But one of my favorite to use is the de-luxe Maison Bath, Body and Linen Spray, with a sweet pea scent. I really didn’t think sweet pea would be a scent that would appeal to me at all, but the first time I test sprayed it in the store, it had won me over immediately. The scent was clean and fresh and never smelled too perfume-y or artificially fragrant. If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s the smell of straight perfume, or anything that smells like it’s been dipped in a vat of boiling baby powder. This sweet pea smell is reminiscent of Victorian America, because there’s something soft and feminine about it, without losing it’s appeal for men as well.

      And I love that it

has so many uses. Usually linen sprays are not suitable for skin or bath care products, but knowing I can spray this on my sheets and put it in my bathwater as well really sealed the deal for me. You can even use it in the washing machine, but you’ll go through it incredibly fast that way. It requires 1/4 a cup in the rinse cycle, and that would give you approximately five uses out of it before your bottle was gone. It’s not expensive, but it’s not cheap enough to use it so quickly, especially when you consider how many loads of laundry through which they typical house goes.

I like the idea of spraying it on my clothes right before I iron though, instead of spraying down with water. We have a washing machine that uses very hard water, and it has a bit of an old water smell that we can’t seem ...

      • to dissipate, and so our clothes don’t always smell like the nice laundry detergent we use, despite our best efforts to the contrary. So I will spray down a shirt with a bit of this linen spray with the sweet pea scent, and either iron my clothes or, if they don’t require ironing, even drape them over the railing outside on our patio to get dry with some fresh air.

I especially love using it as a body spray though. I can’t wear perfume for the most part because it reacts poorly with my sinuses, and so I’m usually stuck using some sort of naturally fragrant item, and even then I’m not always in the best of places, where my sinuses are concerned. The sweet pea scent is so delicate and subtle and easy on my sinuses that I never have a problem with it, and I can just spray it on right before I

moisturize with an unscented lotion and I’m good to go. This clean scent will usually last me a couple hours, and the bottle is small enough to carry in my purse or keep on my desk at work, and I can freshen up throughout the day. Just a spritz will do ya.

As I said, it’s not very expensive, and it’s one of the best longest lasting linen sprays that I’ve used. I’ve only tried it once in my laundry rinse cycle, and it made a huge difference, but unfortunately can’t afford to do this every single time I wash a load, otherwise I would be going through a bottle every five days. Even though it’s a few bucks a bottle, that’s a little more than I’m looking to spend every single week. Still, nice to know that I can use this for a little extra oomph when my laundry gets to smelling a little stale.
