Snow Buddies…. oh my goodness. There were so many Air Bud films that it was ridiculous. Now comes this one, yet another air bud movie that is so much like Snow Dogs that its sickening.

This movie is about 5 golden retriever puppies whose curiosity gets them landed in a freezer truck all the way from Washington to Alaska. This is where I have my first issue. For 5 puppies to be locked in a a freezer truck for that long would probably kill them. This part of the movie is totally ridiculous and should be changed because I am sure that some idiot out there who saw this movie would try

it to see if the dogs would survive. Anyway they end up in Alaska where they are the answer to a young boys prayer for Sled Dogs. He wants to race and ony has one husky Shasta. Again I must pause here to point out the sheer fantasy of this. Assuming by some chance that these dogs survived being in a freezer truck for hours, parachuted over Alaska ( this is how the cargo was eventually dropped. This in itself is just ridiculous) these are not the type of dogs that are even close to being built for a sled race.

I also did not like how unbelievable he relationship between ...

      • the young boy and his father was. Living in a small town in Alaska the son wants to race his team in the very race that killed his father’s sled dogs before (typical over protective parent story). His father is completely against the idea and refuses to allow his son to race (again the typical plot). The son does it anyway and since the father is hardly ever home the son enters the race without his father knowing about it. This is the part that I found unbelievable. You are going to tell em that in a small town in Alaska a father has no idea that his child
        has entered a race? Right.

This movie simply is not very good. Its plot sucks and the dialogue is terrible. I do have to say that the actors did really well with the dialogue. Even though the dialogue and script were terrible they managed to at least give some life to the movie.

I guess this movie would be okay for little kids who like dogs and races. It really has a very poor plot and is simply not very believable. I don’t really think that parents would enjoy it at all. It is one of those movies that you let your kids watch one time and then the video mysteriously goes missing.
