  • I decided to buy 10 Terro Fruit Fly Trap's, I probably did not need that many but they were only $7 a piece and I was feeling a little crazy at the time due to all the flies
  • I had the sticky glue fly traps hanging all over my house and even though they would eventually be covered in flies they did not stop the problem
  • I have tried different liquid soaps and I would say Dawn is the best at getting rid of flies
  • It really does work and I love it for that
  • I would recommend 3-5 depending on how bad the problem is

Have you ever had so many flies that you begin to wonder if someone has stashed a dead body in your crawl space and maybe another in your attic? I have! This year has been the worst year for flies that I have ever seen. Sure I have gotten flies before but they have been easy to get rid of in the past. This year it has been horrible and has made me very unhappy. I did not even want to invite anyone over to my house before because there were so many flies and gnats everywhere… yuck! I decided to buy 10 Terro Fruit Fly Trap’s, I probably did not need that many but they were only $7 a piece and I was feeling a little crazy at the time due to all the flies. I loved this product, it was easy to use and it actually worked. I say

it actually worked because I have tried all the other remedies and nothing was helping.

I had the sticky glue fly traps hanging all over my house and even though they would eventually be covered in flies they did not stop the problem. They did at first but then there were more and more flies. Which meant more and more sticky fly traps hanging all over my house. I tried vinegar and dish liquid in a jar, poked holes in the jar and set them out by the sinks and trash. Sure I caught a lot of flies that way too but not nearly enough. I still had them everywhere and was tired of trying so many things and feeling so grossed out by my own home. I actually thought about moving at one point.

The Terro Fruit Fly Trap works off the same basis as the jars of vinegar and dish ...

      • liquid. In fact you still have to put dish liquid in to the Terro Fruit Fly Trap to have the most success. I have tried different liquid soaps and I would say Dawn is the best at getting rid of flies. Not the green stuff either, it is the chemical in the dish soap that will kill them best. Now this thing is very small and looks like a piece of fruit only it is made out of plastic with very small holes. It is orderless however there is a chemical inside of it that attracts the flies. It really does work and I love it for that. I put two by the sink one by the trashcan one in the panty and one on top of the fridge. They looked nice, just like a little decoration and they are small and easy to hide. The rest went in to
        the basement.

What was amazing is that 1 of these Terro Fruit Fly Trap caught as many flies as a filled up sticky fly trap in only a matter of a couple hours. By the next morning there were no flies in my kitchen. I do not know what other chemical works with the dish soap to attract the flies so well but I am so happy that it worked because I can finally have friends over again. It is really easy to clean them, rinse them and add the Terro chemical and dish soap and be ready to go again. I love the Terro Fruit Fly Trap and I plan to keep these around. This is the best way to get rid of fruit flies. Like I said you do not have to go batty crazy and buy as many as I did. I would recommend 3-5 depending on how bad the problem is.
