      The Second Step of Access Series Training Operating access You can start access from the windows main menu by clicking on the start bottom and point to programs after that the programs menu will appear open access by clicking on the Microsoft access.

      Clicking Microsoft access makes the main menu appear in contains three options 1- Making blank database: this is used for making a blank database and putting every thing after in it from tables, forms, reports etc.

      2- Making database by using database wizard: for making a complete database by using the access templates and this is an easy way and do not require experience to go with it.

      3- Open an existing


      database: this is used for opening a stored database on your computer, which you have already done before.

      1- Making a blank database: - Choose the circle beside the blank database and then press ok.

      - You must write the name of the database file beside the file name.

      - You must choose the place for storing the new database the arrow beside the save as.

      - Click on the create bottom this will create the database with extension MDB.

      2- Making a Database Wizard: - Choose the circle beside a database Wizard and then press ok.

      - Clicking the database bottom for choosing between the different forms of an existing database.

      - Choose the required ...


      • form and then press ok bottom.

        - You must choose the place for storing the new database the arrow beside the save as.

        - A dialog box will appear telling us that the database will be stored with all the included elements in it.

        - The stored tables appear with all its fields and by clicking any table it will opens its fields and any field written in italic font can be added by clicking the right sign beside it.

        - By clicking on the next bottom a new dialog box will appear makes you can choose the style for screen viewing as the background of the entering data form.

        - By clicking on the

        next bottom a new dialog box will appear makes you can choose the style for printed reports.

        - By clicking on the next bottom you can write the database name. And if you would like to include a picture for the company logo for example, you can choose the required picture and then press Ok bottom.

        - Clicking on the finish bottom will creating the database.

        Note (may be in some cases a box appear to inter some required fields before using the database application).

        - You can close the database by just clicking on the file menu and press close.

        Note that if you did not save the changes you made at the last, a dialog box will appear to you to save the last changes you made for the database.
