  • It can inspire some interesting conversation and debate
  • I really enjoyed the emotional outbursts and apparent confusion of the characters towards the end
  • Other than this one moment where we could not figure out what on earth the musical director was thinking, the films direction and production quality is great, I recommend Shutter Island to anyone who loves a good mystery, a creepy but intelligent film, and of course all you girls who love Leo

Shutter Island is a film that deserves much more attention than it has gotten. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a tarnished detective who is sent to find an escaped prisoner on an island and lands in a huge conspiracy with many twists and turns.

The acting from the entire cast is great, and the way the characters and and plot is built up little

by little keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end.

There were a few tiny flaws in the story but nothing I can’t overlook.

The plot was somewhat original, and well executed.

It’s one that many will probably find they have “figured out” before the film reveals the truth, but they will still enjoy watching the ending.

My family and I watched this with popcorn in hand and discussed the movie for an hour or so after it was over.

It can inspire some interesting conversation and debate.

Special effects in the film were of good quality and the set was very atmospheric and beautifully creepy.

characters towards the end! One little thing we all laughed about was one of the opening scenes where the detective and his partner are approaching the gates of the prison.

(Tiny clues to the story appear here, if you are very observant) The score was exceedingly loud and dramatic for such a mundane scene, and we all noticed it and looked at

      eachother with puzzlement.

Other than this one moment where we could not figure out what on earth the musical director was thinking, the films direction and production quality is great, I recommend Shutter Island to anyone who loves a good mystery, a creepy but intelligent film, and of course all you girls who love Leo.

His performance was great, as always.
