  • The story is very streamlined compared to the graphic novel, but it’s still a great movie
  • The voice acting in this movie is very good, Bruce Greenwood is a sold voice for Batman and he sounds good, even though fans weren’t happy that Kevin Conroy, who is the most notable voice for Batman in an animated format, didn’t play the role, Bruce Greenwood is still a great actor

Batman: Under the Red Hood is a Direct-to-DVD movie from DC Comics as a part of their DCUniverse movie titles. It tells the story of Batman and the death of the second Robin, Jason Todd at the hands of the Joker. Years later, a mysterious vigilante calling himself the Red Hood, a possible former identity of the Joker, is stirring up things in Gotham’s underworld. Another good thing going for this movie is that Judd Winick, who

wrote the script for the movie, also wrote the graphic novel, and he figured out how to successfully tell the story to a movie audience who never picked up the graphic novel. The story is very streamlined compared to the graphic novel, but it’s still a great movie.

This is a great animated movie; it has a great storyline, an excellent voice cast and very good animation. The animation itself is not on par with Disney, but it’s still ...

      • very nice to look at and the designs are very much like the original graphic novel by Judd Winick.

The voice acting in this movie is very good, Bruce Greenwood is a sold voice for Batman and he sounds good, even though fans weren’t happy that Kevin Conroy, who is the most notable voice for Batman in an animated format, didn’t play the role, Bruce Greenwood is still a great actor. Jensen Ackles plays the Red Hood and he does

a great job. Most people know him from Supernatural as the lead character Dean, but he’s a great voice actor too. Niel Patrick Harris provides quirky wit as Nightwing and it’s fun to watch him on screen.

If there are any flaws in this movie, it’s that it’s a little short on the run time.

You can buy Batman: Under the Red Hood at your local Wal-Mart, Best Buy, or K-Mart. You can also buy it online at Amazon.com and RightStuf.com.
