  • I just purchased my first nail polish by China Glaze almost a week ago, and since I have deeply fallen in love with all of the colors and shades of them, I decided that I would buy more
  • I bought one in red, (which I will be reviewing right now) blue, pink, and gray
  • One thing that I love about China Glaze's nail polishes, are that they don't give vague names for their products, like sky blue or something, they're not vague with the color names
  • And what I like about China Glaze's nail polishes are that even though there is shimmer in it, it's not too overpowering to look like a 12 year old girl's pair of nails
  • But with a sexy or classy type of look I would want, I think something just bold and red would do, no glitter or shimmer

I just purchased my first nail polish by China Glaze almost a week ago, and since I have deeply fallen in love with all of the colors and shades of them, I decided that I would buy more. So today I went to my Sally’s beauty supply store, and I decided to buy 4 different nail polishes, in a range of colors that I knew I would wear often. I bought one in red, (which I will be reviewing right now) blue, pink, and gray. So as I was looking at the assorted range of colors, one that caught my eye was a deep red by the name of Ruby Pumps. One thing that I love about China Glaze’s nail polishes, are that they don’t give

vague names for their products, like “sky blue” or something, they’re not vague with the color names! If it’s a certain shade of red (eg. ruby) they will call it ruby, not ____ red. Hope you get what I mean, because it’s better to enhance your color coding I guess ha ha. Well anyways, I purchased them for like $4.00 each, and I tried every single one of them as soon as I got home! And I loved them all! I was extremely satisfied with the colors I had, and how well I chose them.

Now Ruby Pumps is a shimmery nail polish, it’s a deep red, sort of like a bloody red. (Sorry if that’s graphic!) But it was named after Dorothy from The Wizard of ...

      • Oz’s and her red shoes. So it’s pretty cool to name nail polishes after something memorable like that. It has glitter in it, but to me it’s not very distracting, just cute. All I have to do is apply 2 coats, and I’m good to go with this color! And what I like about China Glaze’s nail polishes are that even though there is shimmer in it, it’s not too overpowering to look like a 12 year old girl’s pair of nails! It’s like a simple type of shimmer, not too much not too little. I love it. Although I was hoping this would be a nail polish to use when I’m going for that classic pin up 1950’s type of look, I figured it wouldn’t
go as well. Instead, this is a great nail polish for holidays like Christmas or Valentines day, when red is really in, and glitter is more than accepted. But with a sexy or classy type of look I would want, I think something just bold and red would do, no glitter or shimmer. But other than that, I love China Glaze’s Ruby Pumps nail polish, it is absolutely gorgeous, very lovely. I can’t wait to use it during the holiday season!

So as you can see, China Glaze’s Ruby Pumps nail polish is really lovely, and for a great price too! China Glaze will never cease to disappoint me, because their polishes are great, and for a great price too! This color is perfect for holidays, I love it!
