While many think of pop music like Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias when they think of the Latin-tinged music that has become increasingly popular in the last five years, there are a few bands out there who can rock out at Ozzfest while also

pounding on the conga drum. Ill Nino is a master of this mix.

While Ill Nino is primarily a hard rock band, they also expertly meld slower, softer moments into the music.

They know that too much screaming just dulls the senses,

      • but if you start off with melodic singling and *then* scream, you’ll have our attention.

Another unique selling point of the band is their mix of English and Spanish words within the same song, and even within the same sentence.

        One song rhymes

poco, loco and chokehold to great effect.

This album is their first release, and it’s far superior to their second CD which got rid of all of the unique touches that made Ill Nino great.

If the idea of Ill Nino intrigues you, definitely check out this CD.
