  • The downside to this is, there's a stick in the ice cream bar, meaning I have to be careful at a certain point or I'll bite down on the stick, and that's not a pleasant experience
  • The vanilla ice cream portion tasted the same in regards to both the sandwiches and the bars, and while the vanilla ice cream was creamy and smooth, I didn't find it overly delicious
  • The ice cream bars are definitely less messy than the ice cream sandwiches, but the ice cream sandwiches are more flavorful, filling and overall more satisfying than the ice cream bars, in my opinion

What’s nice about the Sundae Shoppe Ice Cream Bars is that unlike with the ice cream sandwiches also sold by Sundae Shoppe, these come on a stick. That makes eating these ice cream bars less messy than the ice cream sandwiches, which can leave my hands feeling sticky as I’m eating the ice cream sandwich. The downside to this is, there’s a stick in the ice cream bar, meaning I have to be careful at a certain point or I’ll bite down on the stick, and that’s

not a pleasant experience! While the ice cream sandwiches are messier, I do find them tastier when compared to these ice cream bars.

The chocolate cookie wafer part of the ice cream sandwiches is chewier and richer than the chocolate casing that covers the interior vanilla ice cream of these ice cream bars. The chocolate casing just isn’t as rich and tasty and the smoother and softer texture isn’t as pleasant as the chewier texture of the chocolate cookie wafers that make up the ice cream sandwiches.

      • The vanilla ice cream portion tasted the same in regards to both the sandwiches and the bars, and while the vanilla ice cream was creamy and smooth, I didn’t find it overly delicious. I also feel that the ice cream bars aren’t as filling as the ice cream sandwiches which have those chocolate cookie wafers on the top and the bottom.

The ice cream bars are definitely less messy than the ice cream sandwiches, but the ice cream sandwiches are more flavorful, filling and overall more satisfying

than the ice cream bars, in my opinion. Although two dollars is a good price, the ice cream sandwiches also run for two dollars too, so I have no reason to switch over to the ice cream bars. I feel that the ice cream bars deserve a “7″ rating. The chocolate coating isn’t as rich as the chocolate cookie wafers that make up the ice cream sandwiches, but it’s still tasty chocolate nonetheless and the vanilla ice cream filling isn’t bad either, although certainly could be better.
