The Face Shop is one of the best Korean cosmetic brands around. It is very accessible as there are a lot of branches in different malls. One of their best products for me is their Nail Enamel Remover – Pink which costs Php99 for a 100ml bottle. Although this may seem expensive compared to the cheap ones you can buy around, for me it is worth it because there is a huge difference in quality.

First, I like its packaging very much. It is a cylindrical transparent tube with The Face Shop logo on front in black letters, the product details at the back, and a white child-resistant cap

on top. It says at the back that it is scented like strawberries and the liquid inside is a very feminine and classy shade of light pink. I think that the child-resistant cap is important because the product looks very appealing and smells so good that children might want to play with it or worse, think it’s some kind of drink. Also, it prevents the quick evaporation of the liquid. I really love the way it looks; it reminds me of nail salons with fluffy couches and a clean, cute and classy pastel interior.

Normally, when you buy cutesy stuff such as strawberry-flavored nail polish ...

      • remover, you would not expect much from its quality. However, this one does not disappoint. First, it does smell like strawberries but not in that artificial, too-sweet and overbearing way. The smell is light to your nose, but still has a unique, rich, strawberry smell. This is worlds away from the painful and strong smell of acetone or the dizzying artificial smell in other nail polish removers. Second, it works very well. It is not difficult to remove nail polish even those from a good brand applied in several coatings. Third, even though it is not acetone-free, it is a lot more gentle on the
hands and nails than the usual. The dry feeling is a lot less than other removers and you would not see white marks on the nails and skin which are the effects of dryness. Along with a good quality nail polish, it also doesn’t make my nails as brittle as other removers do. This is important to me as I am quite vain with my hands and like to keep them soft, moisturized and youthful while still polished and well-manicured.

This fun, professional and gentle nail polish remover definitely adds a lot of enjoyment to my manicure sessions and is the only polish remover I would use on my nails.
