I have several friends that use this product, and I had always been curious about it. The product has been around for a long time, I remember my mom using it when I was a child, and I am in my mid thirties now. The product is different than most hair colors for a couple reasons. First of all, it’s temporary and shampoos out. This appealed to me because there is no commitment, if I didn’t like it, I could always just wash it out. I decided to buy this product and test out how my hair would look a little darker. I had been coloring my hair blonde with a permanent hair color for years, and I had experimented with slightly darker shades, but never dared to make

the switch permanently. So, this experiment was more for fun than anything else.

I purchased the bottle of Fanci Full in a medium brown shade. The directions said to apply the product to freshly washed damp hair. I applied it after towel drying my hair, and the first thing I noticed was that it was very runny. I had to keep blotting my hair and it was leaking all over the bathroom floor. I worked it through my hair as per the instructions, and I began to see some brownish color emerge. I know it’s always difficult to determine the actual results based upon how it looks when your hair is wet, so I applied more of the product until my hair was quite dark. I liked the ...

      • fact that there was no rinsing needed. Most other products that color the hair need to be rinsed out (which usually takes a long time), but this one was to be left in the hair.

The smell of the product was quite strong and smelled like chemicals. I was worried that it might be damaging to my hair, but on the label it said that it was gentle, so I left it on anyway. Once I dried my hair, it felt thick and gummy. It was difficult to even get a brush through my hair. The product made my hair feel really sticky and tacky. What’s worse - the color was horrible. The color was not the medium brown I was hoping for, but instead it was a murky, grayish

color with a green tint to it. The product had not given my blonde hair any golden brown tones, but more like green tones.

So, even though I wanted to like this product, it didn’t work for me. I suspect a different color choice might improve the outcome a bit, but I did not like how the product felt in my hair. Perhaps I used too much, and maybe it would be better with some more practice, but the results for me were bad enough that I returned this stuff to the store. Since I had already used a lot of the product, the store offered me a voucher for an exchange rather than a refund. Either way, this product did not impress me and I won’t be buying it again.
