Pleasant is the word that I would use to describe this scented candle from Renwick. The apple cinnamon scent isn’t overpowering, and that’s a good thing. The scent sort of stays in the background as it occupies a room. By that, I mean, when I first walk into the room that I have the candle lit in, I’ll notice the relaxing apple cinnamon aroma, but after I’ve been in the room for a bit, I become accustomed to it and it no longer steals my attention while I’m having a conversation or watching television. I wouldn’t want a scented candle

that puts out such a potent aroma that I end up being distracted by it. This is a gentle scent that is noticeable when I stop and take a slightly deeper breath than usual, but doesn’t overpower my sense of scent to the point where it begins to bother me.

The apple cinnamon scent truly does put off an aroma that’s sprinkled with cinnamon. Although not quite as strong as the aroma that emanates from the kitchen when an apple cinnamon pie is cooking in the oven, the scent is quite similar. This scented candle has succeeded in making me hungry ...

      • more than once because of its sweet cinnamon aroma. One candle is enough to cover a decent size living room if you give it about fifteen minutes or so to burn. The aroma even travels a bit down a connecting hallway or nearby room, if a door is open. The number of uses that I get out of one candle varies depending on how long I keep the candle burning, but the candle does seem to be a slow burner, which is very nice, and it’s a jar candle, so although the jar isn’t too tall, it’s wide, so you’re
getting a decent amount of candle, I feel, for a dollar fifty. The jar is four ounces.

This scented candle, along with a few others made by Renwick, are pleasant to use throughout the year. I like to use the apple cinnamon scented candle around Thanksgiving because the apple cinnamon scent seems to fit nicely with the cooling temperatures, pumpkin pie and harvest season. I like to use these candles during the Christmas season too, as the sweet and pleasant cinnamon aroma goes well with that cheery time of the year. I’m happy to award this scented candle with a “10″ rating.
