Generally speaking I am a big supporter of generic products. I mean, they are just as good in most cases, and even if they are a little bit worse who cares? They are usually much more than just a little bit cheaper.

I am one to admit, though, when the name brand is better than its

generic equivalent. One prime example is the subject of the current review, Motrin Ibuprofen. Sure it might be a name brand, sure it might cost more than the no name stuff, but it works so much better that the extra money is well worth it.

When you have a headache, the last thing you want is to take some ibuprofen that doesn’t ...

      • work fast enough and when it does start to work, doesn’t work well enough. Sometimes you need something stronger to fight the pain. And that is where Motrin comes in.

I don’t know what it is about Motrin that makes it work better. I mean, ibuprofen is ibuprofen, right? But there is something about it that really makes it work

better, so much that I can notice it. Of course you notice everything a lot more when you have a headache, or so it seems to me.

For most things, don’t worry about generics versus name brands. But when it comes to pain, especially bad pain, it is best to go with the good stuff. In the case of ibuprofen, the good stuff is Motrin.
