The movie “Wall-E” is a unique Disney-Pixar new classic that blends technology, charm and lessons about caring for our environment. The title character is a quirky little janitorial robot. He is supposed to clean up a planet Earth that has been abandoned by humanity due to an enormous overload of trash.

Alone and in constant desire for companionship, Wall-E collects variable earthly junk that turns out to be a bounty of ancient treasures, as this film seems to be set in the distant

future. Among these delights is a VCR and a tape recording of an old Barbra Streisand musical.

He pines for a love to call his own and share his prolific view of the world. One day, a mysterious spaceship lands and releases a scouting robot named EVE to survey the land.

It’s truly love at first sight, at least for Wall-E, when he spots this sophisticated piece of machinery. This girl robot epitomizes the words cool, sleek and even deadly: she ...

      • packs some serious heat in the form of laser weapons.

There’s nothing like an independent woman to take care of her man!! Anyway, when the spaceship returns to collect EVE, Wall-E ends up tailgating in order to follow his beloved soul-mate across the expanse of space. This lovable, endearing robot is a peaceful and smart little entity that can teach humanity a thing or two about perseverance, dignity and courage.

The movie wasn’t too preachy and made its subtle-yet-blatant lessons known through a

mixture of comedy (the humans of the future make me want to go run on my treadmill immediately) and even a bit of suspense. Wall-E himself reminds me of “No.

5″ in the 1980’s movie “Short Circuit”. Both children and adults alike will appreciate this film in its entirety, as there was never a dull moment.

This film is worthy to be among any DVD collection, bonus shorts and all. Wall-E will definitely clean his way into anyone’s heart, anytime.
