This is the first true Blackberry that Nextel has been allowed to contract. Although the 7500 series prior to this phone release is considered the first Blackberry for Nextel, I do not consider it in the same week for two reasons: one there is no color screen and to walkie-talkie feature was a joke.

This version of the Blackberry improves on its predecessor

      in almost every way.

Boasting both the walkie-talkie feature and standard phone line this Blackberry has set the bar for the competing Blackberry models from different companies.

Overall is very impressed with the quality of this phone, although a bit bulky is clear that this is for not for show.

The phone in itself is a clunker but I forgive it because within that shell is a beautifully designed device.

The Blackberry half keyboard is displayed nicely on this phone, and with the use of the smart text application e-mail, web, and texting is a breeze.

The side wheel used for navigation purposes is an added bonus but honestly I would prefer to trackball instead.

Possibly the most entertaining thing about this phone is the ability ...

to unlock it, modify it, and alter essentially every bit about the software installed.

The default software is just fine, but the idea of being up to load a slide show as my browser, or even Tetris game makes this phone a standout.

This was in very high demand currently and this is mainly due to the fact that it can be unlocked

and used with boost mobile, a rival company.

Boost mobile boasts a $50 unlimited plan which is unbeatable right now, and many boost customers are using this Nextel device for Web service.

Overall it is a fantastic phone that is sure to last, the bulky design can be forgiven because it is both attractive and useful, it is clear the bulk was necessary to pack such a punch.
