  • I prefer the red team, although a couple of them, especially Brad and one of the ones already eliminated, are very self-serving
  • The red team lost, unfortunately, thanks in large part to Denny and Brad, neither of whom managed to hit a thing

Trick Shot Showdown was the 7th episode to air of the Top Shot competition series that pits top gun and rifle shooters against one another. They accomplish this by first having a team competition — blue team versus the red team. Now in my view, the blue team is extremely arrogant. There’s only a couple of them I’ve liked to watch, such as ex-Marine, police woman Tara. I prefer the red team, although a couple of them,

especially Brad and one of the ones already eliminated, are very self-serving. Lately, when they get to elimination, they’ve veered off a solid course and I haven’t liked them as much.

The focus of Trick Shot Showdown was various trick shots, like the Annie Oakley bit where they had to shoot over their shoulders, using a mirror to hit the target behind them. There was another one that was intriguing where they had to toss a cabbage under a rope ...

      • and shoot it with a six-shooter before it hit the ground. It may sound easy, but it wasn’t.

The red team lost, unfortunately, thanks in large part to Denny and Brad, neither of whom managed to hit a thing. Yet when they went to the nomination range, they were ridiculous. Going from the honor tradition of the past, which they’ve claimed to be doing, the elimination round should have been between Denny and Brad. Instead, Brad and Denny

        hit Kelly’s target.

        Say what?

Total idiots. Kelly has consistently performed. Because he’s young, they keep thinking he isn’t as good as them. Well, he keeps beating them and outperforming them. The once strong red team is down to 3, and Kelly is one of those.

These guys talk a lot about manning up and being honorable, but mostly, they are coming across as arrogant and cowardly.

Still, I like this show, and its host, Colby Donaldson, who is doing a great job.
