Way of the Master is a fantastic website unlike any other. Kirk Cameron (from the TV show, Growing Pains) and Ray Comfort are expert teachers. They explain how to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to non-Christians by using the Ten Commandments. This technique is quite exciting and effective. My focus will be on this particular portion of their site.

I especially enjoy watching the witnessing, video clips where Ray demonstrates exactly how he reveals Jesus’ message to strangers on the city streets.

During the interviews, many began to feel judged and became defensive. I like when Ray says something like, “I’m a sinner just like you. I haven’t kept all the commandments either.” He identifies with them so they understand he is flawed like every other human being as well. He comes across as very honest and compassionate. His sincerity causes defenses to crumble and the person begins to listen intently but not always.

In my opinion, the people who become angry with Ray have probably been ...

      • hurt in the past by a Christian who wasn’t behaving in a loving manner. They also could have been around those who believe they are Christians when they truly are not born again. These false converts acting badly do a lot of harm to the name of Christ. Ray’s purpose isn’t to condemn or judge others.

Ray ends many conversations asking if they have a Bible and have they read it lately. He says he hopes they will think about what was discussed. If

he senses an open heart, he asks if they would like to pray when the camera is turned off. He thanks everyone for speaking with him. He cares deeply and desires we all come to trust in the ways of the Master, Jesus.

Ray and Kirk are dedicated to getting out the “Good News” to as many as possible. Their website has valuable resources for those searching for answers to Christianity. It has fantastic teaching tools showing us yet another wonderful way to point others in Christ’s direction.
