T-Mobile’s MDA is abbreviated as ‘Mobile Digital Assistant’. It is a highly functional Windows Mobile device with a big screen. It is having a full slide-out keyboard, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and EDGE support. It also has a 1.3-megapixel camera and a Mini SD expansion slot. The T-Mobile MDA is brand of the HTC makes for an attractive addition to T-Mobile. It has built-in Wi-Fi i.e. 802.11b and 802.11i. Its Bluetooth is V1.2 compliant, and synchronize with computer. It is also used as headsets or as a modem and is fairly fast mean of data transferring. Mini SD card slot is used to add additional storage capacity by inserting a

      memory card.

It is a quad-band i.e. 850/900/1800/1900-MHz GSM device made by HTC that runs Microsoft Windows 5.0 operation system. The T-Mobile MDA is 110mm x 60mm x 24mm and 4.3″ x 2.4″ x .94″ inches in size, which is reasonably made for a Pocket PC phone. Its weight is 170.3g with both SIM and expansion memory card. It has 2.8″ diagonal display having 240×320 pixel resolution. It can display up to 65k colors on its touch-screen surface.

The camera can be used for capturing video as well as still photos. Videos can be captured in Motion-JPEG AVI or MPEG-4 format and can have their maximum file size ...

      • limited to available memory. Videos can be captured in two different resolutions: 176×144 and 128×96. The same effects and white balance options are available for video as are for still photos. The T-Mobile MDA is equipped with 64MB of RAM, 64MB of flash storage, and it has Mini SD card slot that can be used to add additional storage. Unlike older Pocket PC devices, Windows Mobile 5.0 does not use RAM for storage, meaning that you will not lose your data if the batteries go completely dead. It has also an outstanding battery timing i.e. 4.5 hour Talk-time and 200-hour Standby time.

The T-Mobile MDA runs on a

200MHz TI OMAP CPU. By such a processing hardware, the response time of T-Mobile is amazing. You just can’t expect the MDA to offer the same “instant” response that you get on dedicated phones such as the Sony Ericsson K750 or any random Nokia Series 40 device. This mobile has friendly user interface, fast connectivity and extra ordinary business class phone. There is no denying that the T-Mobile MDA, an alternate of the HTC Wizard, is a very competent device. It has EDGE data and 802.11b Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as options for USB, Bluetooth, and even infrared. The keyboard is reasonably usable, and the display is very good as well.
