  • I would recommend this theater to those who want to see outdated movies at a reasonable price, and are willing to strain their ears to hear what is being said on screen, but otherwise, I would recommend moviegoers go to the Spencer 7 theater

I am reviewing the Spencer 3 theater located in Spencer, IA. For years, this theater was the only movie theater to serve the small town of Spencer, Iowa. Fortunately, about six years ago, a much larger, more efficient movie theater was built.

As a result of this new theater, Spencer 3 lowered its prices significantly, which makes it a very ideal theater to watch a favorite movie several times. There are several positive things about this theater.

The theater is cozy, and contains just three theaters: two large and one small. The large theaters are uniquely decorated and the seats are comfortable.

The sound system in the large ones are decent, however, the sound quality in the smaller one is deplorable. Like all things, this movie theater has its drawbacks.

For one, this movie theater does not get any new releases, so it is constantly playing movies that everyone has already seen. Secondly, the sound ...

      • system does not compare to the more expensive theater downtown, and there are multiple tears on the screens.

These tears can be very distracting to people trying to watch the movie they’ve paid to see. Thirdly, the staff who work at the Spencer 7 theater are very unfriendly.

The middle aged, female worker in charge, in particular, is very sour, rude, and unfriendly. She seems to take her job very seriously, and frequently gets after kids in

the theater for the stupidest reasons.

So, ultimately, Spencer 3 theaters offers movie goers cheap tickets, but have movies that are exceedingly outdated, employ an undesirable staff, and contain outdated sound systems and screens. I would recommend this theater to those who want to see outdated movies at a reasonable price, and are willing to strain their ears to hear what is being said on screen, but otherwise, I would recommend moviegoers go to the Spencer 7 theater.
