I got the Maybelline Mineral Powder Foundation when I went on a shopping spree in our local Target because they were having a huge sale on all Maybelline products. I decided to get one because I had heard good reviews about it and want to see it for myself. I like the mineral foundation because it came with a little kabuki brush. I decided to use it because I lost my regular kabuki brush and I did not like it all. It was very rough on my skin and I could not apply the foundation completely because the brush is too small. If you did not have anything else, you can use it for the meantime because even though it is rough, it can

      give a good coverage.

The mineral powder foundation gave me good coverage for my acne-scarred skin and covered all of my blemishes very well. You cannot tell that I suffered from acne when I was using this. You can also build the coverage from sheer to heavy depending on what you want. I had to apply a thicker layer to cover up my blemishes. It did not really keep the oil on my face at bay like the other foundation that I have used in the past. I have to constantly blot my face with blotting towels, but the foundation was still there. It did not melt at all even though I was outside for a long period of time.

The only thing that I did ...

      • not like about this product is that it gave me blackheads and whiteheads. After I removed the foundation from my face, there were blackheads all over my cheeks and whiteheads on my nose. I was very disappointed because I thought that since the foundation is mineral-based, it would not break me out, just like what they said on their advertisements. I think that the foundation is blocking my pores and so the results are those nasty blackheads and whiteheads. Another thing that I don’t like about it, aside from the acne and the brush, is its container. The container has holes on the top part of the container which can help in controlling the amount of powder to use. I find it very hard
to use because it can get pretty messy and I am always on the move. I cannot apply the foundation while I was on my way to school because the foundation will get on my clothes and everywhere else. This is only applicable to use when you have a lot of time to clean up the mess that it can give you.

In general, this is a good foundation for people who have scars from previous acne for it can give a very good coverage and if you do not have oily or combination skin. It covers up blemishes very well and gives you a flawless finish. As for me, I won’t buy another one and will stick to the foundation that I have long been using.
