  • I was brought up to not add a lot of salt to my food (with the exception of chips of course, for example) and so I usually buy unsalted butter as I prefer it and so I tried out President unsalted butter, a French butter
  • I gave up buying ‘butter-like’ spreads as I thought I might as well have the best and those ‘nearly butter but not really’ type products just do not compare

I was brought up to not add a lot of salt to my food (with the exception of chips of course, for example) and so I usually buy unsalted butter as I prefer it and so I tried out President unsalted butter, a French butter. This is a lovely creamy smooth, cow’s milk butter with a

nice light flavour, which compliments whatever I add it to.

I can tell if I am enjoying the butter as I tend to spread it on extra thickly as I do with this.

Just putting a blob of this on my tongue tastes good, so it is of a relatively high quality.

I spread it on toast, sandwiches and it makes lovely creamy mash.

I always buy good butter these days and I would buy President again.

I gave up buying ‘butter-like’ spreads as I thought I might as well have the best and those ‘nearly butter but not really’ type products just do not compare.

the meal but do not usually taste brilliant in their own right.

President tastes like a good quality butter to me.

I am not cosmopolitan enough to know what French butter is usually like (I last visited about 10 years ago) but this has a very pale colour and a light, milky taste that is

      really creamy.

I always transfer my butter to a butter dish but if you do keep your butter in the fridge, President comes in a foil wrapper that will not rip so you can wrap it back up after using it and pop it back in the fridge in an airtight state to keep it fresh.
