For those of you that grew up with the magic of Pixar, you most definitely know of the many adventures of toy legends, Woody the cowboy and Buzz Lightyear, the space ranger and all their companions. I speak of the first ever Pixar computer generated animation film, Toy Story.

Now eleven years following the first release of Toy Story, Toy Story 3 hit the big screen, displaying outstanding visual animation, heartfelt storytelling, and deep, philosophical messages.

      I

was highly anticipating this movie, and when I sat down, I was once again pulled into a fantastical world where toys come to life. However this time, times have changed. Andy, the toys’ owner, has grown up and is leaving for college. Pretty soon, I found myself actually relating to Andy and sympathizing with him on leaving behind his childhood and moving on.

Another great thing about Toy Story 3 was the outstanding visual animation. Presenting ...

      • smoother motion, better rendering, picture quality, and some slight facial corrections (most particulary on the human characters), Pixar is constantly raising the bar and Toy Story 3 presents it perfectly.

Along with the effects and great emotional growth displayed in the movie, Toy Story 3 has a deep and profound story to tell, demonstrating how the power of a family and love will always conquer all. Bringing a loved one or even your kids is

a great way to really get that familial bond message across. Being a big fan of good stories, I was drawn to tears, a rarity for me; To top it off, the movie’s ending was very realistic and bittersweet, leaving a lump and sniffles throughout the entire theatre.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone! It’s definetly “to infinity and beyond!”
