  • You might still have to deal with the drops dripping back out of the nose for a few minutes after wards because I ran into that problem myself a few times here and there, but it wasn't so bad and that's still better in my mind then using a spray that will often leave a bad taste in your mouth and that's if you can even stomach inhaling it in the first place
  • I've found other products I like more that are easier to use so I probably wont be buying those again, but I'm here to tell you that at least it's an option for those who don't like sprays and don't find the gels to be that effective

I don’t really like taking nose drops or putting anything in my nose even though my doctor has tried to get me take a nasal spray for my sinuses for years now. Every time he tries I tell him no thanks because I’m just not comfortable with the idea of spraying anything way up into my nose like that and feeling it go down the back of my throat. Just thinking about it makes me cringe a little because it seems so uncomfortable.

But these ephrine drops by the Walgreen’s store brand didn’t seem to be that bad because it wasn’t actually a spray that you would have to inhale all the way up the nose. I wasn’t sure how well these would go over for me but because they were cheap and I was desperate to treat my allergies I wanted to try something new since not even my allergy prescription seemed to be working well enough on its own. I get

really bad allergies during the spring months that can have me so clogged up for most of each and every day and that’s no way to live especially if you have children and a household to take care of and I knew I needed to do something to change the situation otherwise I was going to be a miserable mess for three months straight. I may not be willing to use an actual spray but the drops didn’t seem that bad.

You just put in a couple drops into each nostril a couple times a day. This sounded easier than it really turned out to be because you practically have to lay down in order to put the drops in and then you have to stay laying down for a few minutes otherwise the drops come running out of your nose and all over your face and your wasting the entire effort when you’re wiping all of the product off your upper lip.

      • I didn’t like how difficult it was to administer these drops and I’ve since found some nasal gels that work much better or are at least much easier to use.

I can’t say that these drops didn’t work because if I let the drops sit in the nasal cavity for a few minutes, then they did their job and really helped open up my sinuses and give me some breathing room that I very much needed at the time. It’s pretty much just made up of a nasal decongestant, and so I was able to use this when my sinuses were clogged up and congested because of allergies but also because of a cold as well. When I wasn’t feeling good with a cold last winter, I used what was left in this bottle of ephrine drops and it really cleaned out the congestion within a matter of minutes. If you are too stuffed up to use a nasal spray then this is

probably a good alternative for you because it worked really well if you let it sit there long enough for the ingredients to do what they are supposed to do. You might still have to deal with the drops dripping back out of the nose for a few minutes after wards because I ran into that problem myself a few times here and there, but it wasn’t so bad and that’s still better in my mind then using a spray that will often leave a bad taste in your mouth and that’s if you can even stomach inhaling it in the first place. I may not be overly excited about the application of these drops, but it worked well enough. I’ve found other products I like more that are easier to use so I probably wont be buying those again, but I’m here to tell you that at least it’s an option for those who don’t like sprays and don’t find the gels to be that effective.

Hi Kathy, I would suggest going to a CVS near you. THey have their own store brand for $ 5.49 per bottle. I would also suggest giving Wal-Mart as they have their Equate brand nose drops for $ 4.97 per bottle.

I would look them up on the internet. I found them at Walgreens, but haven`t looked for them in a little bit. I still have some in the house.
