I have always considered my jet black hair to be normal until a salon stylist pointed out to me that I have dry and brittle hair and that in order to remedy it, I should go for a hot oil treatment at least once a month. I just smiled at the stylist in response but I never came back to that salon. At first I thought the stylist just wanted me to patronize their salon but after I started paying attention to my hair I realized that what she told me rang true. My constant blow drying has led my hair to become dry. Snags were also a problem. I wanted salon quality hair but I couldn’t afford going for those expensive monthly treatments so I scoured my local supermarket for products that would help bring moisture back to my hair. Sometimes, I would even experiment by not washing my hair for days at a time thinking that it would probably make my hair oily and thus, less dry. The result was that it did make my hair oily but it also made it

extremely dirty and grimy. Both my hair and my scalp became so oily that it weighed my hair down. During these times, I would always put my hair up in a ponytail to help hide the oiliness and dirt and at the same time keep my hair off my face.

Luckily for me, the solution to my problem came in the form of Dove Daily Moisture Therapy Shampoo. Before Dove, I was alternating between Garnier Fructis and Palmolive shampoo and while these products were ok, I never really notice any difference when I switch from product to product so I was constantly on the lookout for something better. My mother-in-law who swears by Dove shampoo recommended this to me and even bought me a bottle! I have already tried Dove shampoo (albeit in a different variety) in the past and it was such a horrible experience that I was hesitant about using another Dove shampoo. I am really glad I tried it because I think I have found the best shampoo for my hair. I used Dove Daily Moisture Therapy Shampoo together with ...

      • Dove Daily Moisture Therapy Conditioner and as early as the first use, I already noticed a drastic change in my hair. I did not have to wait days to see results because immediately after I used it, my hair felt so soft and tangle-free. Gone were the snags and I found myself running my fingers through my hair the entire day. I could not believe it! My hair felt so light and smooth. It made brushing and styling my hair so much easier for me. I could air dry my hair without fear of knots and tangles. I also noticed that I did not shed as much hair as I used to.

I am a fan of big sized products because it helps me save in the long run so I am happy that Dove Daily Moisture Therapy Shampoo comes in really big bottles. The one I have is a 40 fl oz size (1.18 liters) bottle which will probably last me a year. It has a salon pump that helps me control the amount of product I

apply on my hair. The pump also helps me transfer its contents to small containers so I don’t have to buy shampoos in sachets for when I go out of town. I am used to fruity smelling shampoos and although Dove smells anything but, I still like it. The scent actually reminds me of a gentler version of Johnson’s Milk Bath. I think that Dove has really stepped up and improved the formula of their shampoos and this Daily Moisture Therapy shampoo is proof of that. The product is made in the US and although I cannot stop raving about the product itself, I am a bit disappointed that this shampoo is not widely available in the local supermarkets. My mother in law bought my bottle in the Duty Free supermarket in Subic and when I checked my local grocery store for reference, they said that they did not carry it in their stock. It is only for this reason that I deducted a point from giving this product an excellent rating. Otherwise, this is an exceptional product and I highly recommend it.
