  • I don't think a 4 year old needs a watch as he has no where to go and is almost never without a grown up, but this is what he wanted for his birthday just like his brother and at $15 it was a gift we could afford to give him
  • Most of their watches have straps that you can buy a replacement one for, but I tend to buy my watches on sale and the cost of a replacement strap ends up being nearly the cost of the watch so I almost never buy them
  • I do recommend this watch to other parents

I purchased this watch for my 4 year old son after buying my 7 year old son a watch. I don’t think a 4 year old needs a watch as he has no where to go and is almost never without a grown up, but this is what he wanted for his birthday just like his brother and at $15 it was a gift we could afford to give him. I chose this watch because of the reputation of Timex. I have used their watches for over 20 years and we must have 4 or 5 different Timex brand watches sitting in our house at any time. When you buy a Timex you can be sure that it will not break at once and that you can get replacement parts easily. Most

of their watches have straps that you can buy a replacement one for, but I tend to buy my watches on sale and the cost of a replacement strap ends up being nearly the cost of the watch so I almost never buy them. Timex also offers a replacement plan for their children’s watches for around $10 and if your child loses their watch they will replace it with a similar watch. I never buy the plan because once again I could just buy a new watch for a couple of more dollars.

      About this watch:

      The Pros:

Awesome flame band my kids say is very cool.

Looks like a manly watch (according to my boys) Similar look to the adult version of this watch my husband owns.

Classic look will still be in style 10 years from ...

      • now.

Batteries are easy to replace and rarely run out.

Indigo Night Light is both fun and easy to use.

Water Resistant up to 99 feet.

Easy to put on without adult help.

Band tightens to fit even a preschool sized wrist.

I do recommend this watch to other parents. It is a good inexpensive watch with a neat look. This watch is for ages 6 and up but the band reminds me of hot wheels, it is a little too babyish looking for a lot of kids, but they do make this exact watch in different patterns. This watch is a huge hit with my son, he loves copying his brother and now knows how to time things and is very interested in what time it is.

        Your kids will love this

watch. The strap is very easy for a child of any age to put on and off. It is velcro and takes only seconds to put on. The strap can be tightened or lengthened easily and I can report that it will fit on my wrist but I do have tiny wrists for an adult. It is very light, lighter in feeling to most of my watches and the band is not itchy nor does it make your wrists sweat like some of the plastic bands out there. We chose this watch because of the fabric band for that reason. My only complaint is that if you get your band wet say when you are washing your hand as my son often does, it will stay wet for awhile and he leaves wet marks on things from leaning his wrists on things.
