  • The options available are just the very essential like the target size (whether the destination media is a DVD or a CD), the target format (NTSC, PAL, some other)., video and audio bitrate, and some other, wich are very basic options and in most cases using the defaults is the best way to go

DVD Flick is a powerful DVD authoring software that can take almost any video file format and turn it into a playable DVD that can be viewed on any standalone DVD player. There are lots of DVD authoring solutions out there but DVD Flick, besides of it’s great set of features is also free and open source, that means there’s no need for paying anything and also that it comes free of any adware or spyware like many freeware and shareware software.

DVD Flick is really easy to use. It has a clean interface with handy located

buttons that let the user add or remove video titles as well as rearrange them, create, open and save a project, edit the project and menu settings and create the actual DVD.

The project settings window has a few options to tweak a few settings of the DVD. The options available are just the very essential like the target size (whether the destination media is a DVD or a CD), the target format (NTSC, PAL, some other…), video and audio bitrate, and some other, wich are very basic options and in most cases using the defaults ...

      • is the best way to go. The menu settings on the other hand just let the user select one of six menu layouts (or selecting none at all) without having any configuration option available.

The great thing about DVD Flick is that it can turn almost any video file into a DVD. On it’s website there’s a list of supported video and audio codecs, and DVD Flick supports the most common ones like H.262, DivX/Xvid, Flash video, Windows Media, MPEG-1 and 2 among many other video codecs and MA4, FLAC, OGG, AAC, MP3 and windows media just

to name some audio formats. DVD Flick is the way to go when trying to create a DVD from video files downloaded from Internet.

Summarizing DVD Flick is a great DVD authoring solution for Windows, it can deal with all the common media files (and many uncommon ones) and it is really easy to use because there’s no way of getting lost with it’s clean interface. The only negative side I see on this version of DVD Flick is that it’s not possible to customize the DVD menu, but hopefuly on future releases it will came with a menu editor.
