  • A relatively new show on Nick Jr and Nickelodeon is really making its mark as becoming an incredibly interesting, colorful, fun, and above all else, educational cartoon type show for toddlers and pre-school children
  • Team Umi Zoomi is one of the best, if not the best, new educational cartoon show that comes on daily on Nickelodeon or Nick Jr

Many cartoon programs on television right now are not the most educational for children of any age; especially toddlers. There is, of course, the tried and true Sesame Street that is always easy to rely on to help you teach your children their alphabet, numbers, etc. But, not all children are as interested in the puppet like characters as they are the vividly colored cartoons that are available on such channels as Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and Sprout.

There are so many shows out there that are just that, colorful shows with little to no substance that is helpful to the toddler aged or pre-school aged child.

Team Umi Zoomi is one of the best, if not the best, new educational cartoon show that comes on daily on Nickelodeon or Nick Jr. My almost 3 year old child loves this program and has learned so much from it.

This show teaches mostly math and shapes; which other shows seem to shy away from. Children need to learn more than just their ABC’s and 123’s, they need to learn how ...

      • to count, measure, add, subtract, and learn sequences. Team Umi Zoomi does all of this in a way that is enjoyable and it keeps the attention of my almost 3 year old throughout the entire program.

Since beginning watching this show together, my child has learned how to not only count forward, but also backward. He has also learned sequences which is very important to the developing brain.

I am one of those stringent parents that do not believe that television should be used as a baby sitter or as a ‘school’. But, if you will sit down with your child during programs such as this,

they will learn so much. This show has been able to help hold my child’s attention and while we watch it, myself and the show have taught him different shapes, numbers, and sequences.

My child is above average in mathematics and shapes and I owe a large portion of this above average knowledge to this show, Team Umi Zoomi.

There are other shows that teach children important educational material as well, and my child and I watch these other shows together, too. But, by far, Team Umi Zoomi is my favorite show to watch with my child because it teaches him the most and in the most fun ways.
