  • After talking to them, I found out that their ice cream is all natural and sweetened by agave
  • I was a little more amaze because I've never liked honey and after years of not eating it, I thought it was the taste
  • So I tasted some of the honey that my grandmother bought us and realized that it's definitely not the taste of honey but there is an after taste and slight film that stays on my tongue after I've swallowed some
  • But for me the best thing about it is that it dissolves well in iced tea
  • This is important to me because I don't like to use sugar since it takes too long to dissolve and I haven't found the right sugar substitute that does not have the possibility of causing me cancer and is not overbearing like some natural/plant derived sweeteners

A few weeks ago while shopping at Whole Foods, there were some employees from a locally owned ice cream shop handing out samples. After talking to them, I found out that their ice cream is all natural and sweetened by agave.

I had no idea what the vendors were talking about but I knew that whatever agave was, I liked it.

Still, I made no attempt to find some.

Then a few days ago, while I was looking

for some carob chips, I saw a shelf holding different brands of agave.

There was only one brand of raw agave and that was Whole Foods 365, so I grabbed a bottle and bought it.

When I got home, I and my family were surprised to find that the scent and taste is very similar to honey.

I was a little more amaze because I’ve never liked honey and after years of not eating it, I thought it was ...

      • the taste.

So I tasted some of the honey that my grandmother bought us and realized that it’s definitely not the taste of honey but there is an after taste and slight film that stays on my tongue after I’ve swallowed some.

Agave nectar does not have that.

I’ve learned there are a lot of great things about agave nectar such as being completely vegan friendly, tastes wonderful (though “honey” taste isn’t really present in drinks), does not give

a sugar rush, and much more.

But for me the best thing about it is that it dissolves well in iced tea.

This is important to me because I don’t like to use sugar since it takes too long to dissolve and I haven’t found the right sugar substitute that does not have the possibility of causing me cancer and is not overbearing like some natural/plant derived sweeteners.

Whole Foods 365 Raw Agave Nectar is such a product and is completely worth trying.
