  • I should mention throughout the verse that this very odd sounding guitar part continues which creates a pretty confusing sound in the verse which I’m really not a big fan of which disappoints me because I do like Barrett’s vocal performance but the music behind him certainly clashes with his voice in my opinion
  • In my opinion, the song still has some very interesting parts but it’s a bit more obscure than I was expecting and I think will take a few more listens for me to really enjoy it, nevertheless I still found it to be not too bad of a song

opinion, although to no major extent, and it certainly has a psychedelic sound to it as with most of Barrett’s early music. To be honest, Apples And Oranges really doesn’t strike me as having the same accessible sound that most tracks by Pink Floyd from the first two records had, particularly
for a single. In my opinion, the song still has some very interesting parts but it’s a bit more obscure than I was expecting and I think will take a few more listens for me to really enjoy it, nevertheless I still found it to be not too bad of a song.
