Young Girl Sunday Blues is a song by Jefferson Airplane which appears on their record After Bathing At Baxter’s. The track starts off with a simple drum and guitar part before leading into a section which certainly has a feel more like Jefferson Airplane typically does.

The vocal performance in this track is great and the melody works extremely well with the music in my opinion, thus far the song is pretty

      enjoyable to be honest.

I will say that the music seems somewhat secondary to the vocals on this track throughout the first two verses but the track does into an instrumental bridge which is a nice change where a guitar solo takes the lead.

The solo itself, or this section in general, isn’t anything great but it’s a nice change to an instrumental section from a vocally dominated track, there are some ...

      • nice bass parts throughout this section as well.

As you can tell, the structure of the song is pretty repetitive with basically four whole vocal sections, two before the solo and two after so in terms of structure the track is very simple and straightforward.

However, the energy of this track is great and, as I said, the vocal performance throughout the whole song is great and certainly up to the level

of what I would expect from Jefferson Airplane.

Although not one of my favorite songs from the band, it’s an enjoyable and solid track and certainly worth looking into.

This track may not be quite as developed as some of the other songs by Jefferson Airplane but I still think it’s quite a solid track and I couldn’t really find anything in here that I really just hated so it’s worth at least looking into.
