Misty Mountain Hop is a song by Led Zeppelin which appears on their iconic record, Led Zeppelin IV. The track starts off with an electronic piano part which Page soon comes in to double with his guitar as Jones also comes in with a steady drum pattern. Page’s voice in the verse is layered with a few studio dubs which is noticeable enough to make a difference but not noticeable

enough to really get in the way of the track so this is a good thing, the sound thus far is somewhat rock driven by honestly strikes me as pretty melodic. Plant’s performance thus far has been better than average and the music is great as well as I’ve said, Page’s guitar riff, or Jones’ piano part depending on which way you want to look at it is just great ...

      • and really provides a nice rhythm for the song. Something which isn’t all that noticeable if you aren’t looking for it is that the band sort of falls out of time with each other around two minutes and ten seconds in which I did listen for and did hear but it’s really nothing you’ll notice if you aren’t listening to it. The track continues on to the bridge of the
track where Page really demonstrates how many layers of guitars that he has on this track, I have no idea how many he has but his sound is extremely full and it sounds great. Overall, Misty Mountain Hop establishes a nice rhythm during the beginning of the track and only gets better as it progresses on through the song, very solid track and yet another good song on Led Zeppelin IV.
